A fantastic abseiling and canoeing adventure day for beginners, families and friends.
Abseiling:
Learn the fundamentals of abseiling in the morning with abseils ranging in height from 3 metres to over 20 metres.
You get to do lots of abseils as you hone your technique and gain confidence. Includes a beautiful bushwalk beside the river to the abseiling location.
Abseiling is a great activity to do together as a family, we regularly cater for participants as young as 6 years old. We can accommodate younger adventurers but please call us before booking in to discuss their individual needs.
Canoeing:
After a delicious lunch we'll head off in premium canoes to explore some of the lesser known spots on the Kangaroo River. Towering sandstone cliffs, hidden pristine waterfalls and swimming holes, an abundance and array of wildlife: the most scenic flatwater paddling venue in Australia.Your tour will involve expending a moderate level of energy while paddling, but having ample time for relaxing throughout the journey as we pause and reflect on the wonders around us.
A full day in the bush – renew your spirit and be nourished in nature!
No experience is required - you’ll get full support from qualified instructors.
Session Time
Allow a full day for this experience. Approx 9am - 5pm (this can be flexible, just let us know). This includes:
- Transport from the office to the start/finish locations and return
- Bushwalking to the abseil locations
- Briefing time; allowing for setup, putting on harnesses and helmets, cliff safety and demonstrations on how to abseil for abseiling. For canoeing, putting on PFD's and teaching you the relevant paddling strokes to control your canoe
- Abseiling time; allowing for multiple descents if you would like
- A delicious and light morning tea with a hot cuppa
- Paddling time; allowing for exploration and relaxation before arriving at a beautiful location to stop and have a break
- Allowing time to enjoy a catered lunch, to sit and relax, enjoy the environment and the people you are with
- Exploration of the area at your own desire (there are options to go further or stay close depending on the experience you wish to get out of it).
- Paddling back to finish location
