Doggie Paddle Half Day Canoe Hire

- Duration: 4 Hours (approx.)
- Location: Gangagruwan, Kangaroo Valley, NSW
- Product code: PRM1H1
Hire quality canoeing equipment for up to a half day of playing with your pooch in the canoeing capital of Australia.
Our hires are per canoe and NOT per person or pet.
Dogs are not permitted in the National Park and this experience is only available near the Hampden Bridge.
We really, really, love dogs but sadly not many of our adventures are appropriate for pooches. As much as it would be wonderful to bring your dog along to share your experience, the Kangaroo Valley is surrounded by Morton National Park, which has limited access for dogs, but this is a great opportunity to explore and enjoy canoeing together.
The Doggie Paddle canoe hire is great for families and pet lovers to splash around and have fun in the Canoeing Capital of Australia.
This hire is for up to 4 participants (one of which must be a dog!) per canoe only.
Your canoe hire includes
- All required canoeing equipment, including
- Quality canoe
- Aluminium paddles for each person
- Life jackets (PFD) for each person
- Laminated map of the local waterway along with local knowledge and route advice
- Foundational technique coaching and safety instruction
- Delivery and return of canoes and accessories to the location
Exclusions:
- We highly recommend that your dog wears a life jacket for safety. Unfortunately we don’t currently provide these as an option.
Our staff will provide route recommendations on the day based on your experience, abilities, interests and of course the weather! You will also receive foundational technique coaching and safety instruction from your guide before heading out on your journey. Our goal is to ensure you have a great experience playing in one of our favourite places.
No experience is required - just a willingness to jump in.
We look forward to welcoming you and your furry friend!
Important Notes:
It is illegal to take dogs into a National Park. They may not chase and kill the fauna, but local native animals detect the presence of dogs as a danger and will vacate areas where dogs roam. Please plan your adventures accordingly
Unfortunately we can’t offer a dog sitting service at our office - there is simply not enough room on the office couch! If you are planning to come on an adventure with us, please make other arrangements for your dog on the day.
