This is not a skills clinic (though you’ll absolutely learn along the way). It’s a real river experience: flowing water, playful ripples, quiet pools for swimming, and expert guidance to help you feel confident and supported while you soak up one of the Valley’s most loved stretches of river.
Guided by an experienced instructor, you’ll pick up essential techniques like reading the river, edge control, and kayak manoeuvring - all woven naturally into a adventurous and memorable trip. Expect laughs, splashes, and that “I can’t believe this is so close to home” feeling.
Keep your eyes peeled for the Valley’s wildlife: we often spot water dragons sunning on rocks, kingfishers flashing across the water, freshwater turtles surfacing nearby, and the occasional wallaby watching from the banks. There are also beautiful deep pools ideal for a refreshing swim and peaceful stretches where the only sound is your paddle slipping through the flow.
Halfway through the journey we stop at a scenic riverside location to rest, swim, snack, and enjoy the surroundings before continuing downstream.
