Beehive Point to Bendeela Canoe Hire Full Day (Family Ultralight Canoe)

For those who need performance and a lightweight vessel. Our ultralight fleet consists of a range of Wenonah canoe designs all made of ultra-light and ultra-strong aramid fibre (commonly known as Kevlar). This creates a stiff, strong and light package which has unrivalled benefits for performance on the water. These canoe models reward good technique for those that have a little more experience paddling. 

For those looking to get an adventure out of their day. The Kangaroo River between Beehive Point and Bendeela Recreation Area covers a lot of Yarrunga Lake as you paddle from remote sections of the Morton National Park back to civilization over the course of the day.

Time to allow:

• 4-8 hours - allows for travel time (35 - 40mins) from Valley Outdoors, briefing and time on the water to paddle. Time allowed includes breaks.

• 14km Journey from Beehive Point to Bendeela Recreation Area

• There is a 200m walk down from the carpark at Beehive Point. Our staff will assist you to carry the boats down to the water. You may need to carry some of your additional gear with you.

• Azure Kingfishers

• Sea Eagles

• Echidnas

• Wallaroos

• Many more reptile and bird life

• Sandstone cliffs 

• Drowned forest (sunken trees)

• Tallowa Dam spillway

Some other things to do on the water:

• Picnic - when paddling up the Kangaroo River and Shoalhaven Gorge, there are some good spots to stop off and have a picnic next to the river

• Swimming - The river is fresh water and safe for swimming on warm summer days.

• Explore on foot - Some of the creek beds off the beaten path hide some beautiful secret water features.

Included in the hire:

• Transport of the canoe and participants to Beehive Point and pick up from Bendeela Recreation Area

• Secure parking for your vehicle for the day

• Wooden paddles and life jackets for all participants

• Map of the area (1 per booking)

• Basic instruction and local knowledge (approx 15 minutes of briefings)

Minimum of 2 canoes to depart for hires at Beehive Point. If your hire has a minimum of 2 canoes but they are different canoes (eg family, standard or solo) then please call us to book.
